Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is an Romanian TV presenter and actress. She is best known for her role as the lead in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control as well as Rush. Since she was the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra started her showbiz career at a young age. Her roles included lead characters in dramas on television as young as 16 years old. After her critically acclaimed role in the TV movie Der Tunnel, Alexandra went onto play more notable roles such as Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudljunge as well as the secretary of Adolf Hitler in Downfall. This film was nominated for an Oscar and was a critical as well as commercial great success. Additional Oscar nominated movies featuring the famous diva are The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Alexandra's professional career has included participate in several significant national and international productions. Some of these include the British biographical movie Control, the Greek drama film The Dust of Time, and French historical mini-series Napoleon.
