Amal Clooney
Amal Clooney is a barrister from the United States and Lebanon, a human rights campaigner and philanthropist. She was born Amal Ramzi Amuddin. She graduated from Oxford University and New York University School of Law her long and accomplished career in the fields of international law and human rights has earned her acclaim internationally. Some of her clients are the people of Armenia who is battling the Turkish government over the recognition and apology of Armenia's Armenian Genocide. Amal Clooney became engaged to and later married American actor George Clooney in 2014 instantly becoming a well-known name in popular media. She was well known and admired for representing clients successfully and with expertise in the legal field years before. Her work spans between social justice and human rights to representing corporations in the negotiation process or litigating cases involving the regulations of government. As of 2015, she's a barrister one type of legal representative for British courts at London-based Doughty Street Chambers.
